Why get a Motorhome Inspection?
A Motorhome is just not a car - A car is bad enough on it's own to check everything out but a Motorhome is just so much more complicated having so many systems and stuctures that could be fauly or inoperative. Even a specialist dealer can get it wrong and we are here to assist the buyer AND the seller (be it dealer or private) get it right!
On top of things that may be wrong, every year many Motorhomes are written off by insurers and yet many of them still end up on a forecourt or in the small ads for sale and
you must be sure a Motorhome isn't badly repaired. Another area of concern is that a lot of Motorhomes will have outstanding finance on them. Just because you have paid for it and have a registration document, it will not belong to you ! Let us do the finance check for you.
Also, just because the mileage is low, hundreds of Motorhomes are generally unroadworthy mostly through lack of use and have major defects or other damage.
The new MOT Certificate is no guarantee of roadworthiness – would you know what has happened to the Motorhome since the test took place?
Be warned - 87% of the vehicles we inspect need essential or advisable repairs and
100% have some fault which we are trained to discover for you.
It's easy to forget the important checks when you're looking at shiny paintwork and
a lovely homely interior.
We are here and for a sensible fee it is always useful to get an objective second opinion, even if you can do your own initial checks.
The results of the checks can be used to insist that the seller repairs any defects or may lead to a compromise on the purchase price. Likewise, if we carry out a pre-sale check for you (private or trade) you can sell with confidence and for a higher price giving the potential purchaser less reason to knock you down on price.

What about buying Online?
Thinking of buying a Motorhome online from sites such as eBay? Yes, this is a good way to buy and you will save money, however one thing you must remember- It is still the same Motor Trade and unscrupulous sellers with the same old pitfalls. Only now, the buyer in most cases, does not even have an opportunity to view the vehicle or road test it before you even see it. If you bought the Motorhome from a distance away, imagine the hassle of having to have repairs carried out. We can inspect it on your behalf and give you an unbiased, honest opinion, quickly –
before you buy. Email the seller before placing that winning bid and see if they will agree to only going ahead with the sale subject to our inspection. If they refuse, what are they hiding?
What if I have had a problem with a recent purchase?
Do not worry, help is at hand.
We carry out inspections in the event of a dispute with vendors, repairers and manufacturers regarding vehicle quality, poor and incorrect repairs, damage and reports for the rejection
of a vehicle.
We can check and report on anything from an area of poor quality paintwork to a twisted body or failed engine or gearbox.
What if I am selling my Motorhome?
A M.A.C.I.C inspection report can add real value enabling you to sell with confidence.
For most people buying a Motorhome is the second most expensive purchase after their home. Few people buy a house without the safeguard of a survey, so when it comes to buying a Motorhome, why not enjoy the same "peace of mind" with a Professional Inspection and report?
Remember the golden rule.......
Trust nothing or nobody!
